Commissioner Karla M. Lewis has been a Bloomingdale resident in ANC 5E02 (formerly 5E06) for 37 years. She was elected to be the ANC 5E06 commissioner in November 2018 and took office in January 2019. Due to the 2020 census, the districts were changed. She was re-elected to be the ANC 5E02 commissioner in November 2022 and took office in January 2023. As a former international civil servant at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), she appreciates how critical it is to have systems in place that support thriving local businesses and a good quality of life for residents.
